Still in Hyde

Dear Everyone,

I feel old...I can recall the first district I had at the start of the
mission and most of the Elders saying ,"oh I've been out for 13 months
and I've" and,"been out for 21 months" and, " I've hit my year
mark"... Then there was me just over a week and two days old in the
mission! Now it's been 13 months and I am now seeing all my friends I
saw at the beginning are going home. In 2 months all the missionaries
from my first district will be home except for me!! Have no fear, I am
no trunkie monkey.

This week has been insane with loads of finding in the blessed land of
Hyde. We had a lot of our previous investigators drop us and all the
members have been and are out of town so it's been talking and talking
and talking some more to complete strangers that I call my "loved
brothers and sisters".

General Conference was astonishing and was the greatest one yet!!
Elder Uchdorf fired the shots off with his powerful talk in the
Saturday morning session. I loved all of the talks including the many
that focused on the Restoration and the Plan of Salvation. The two
subjects inspire and confirm to me that God lives and his Sonounts of pain his
whole life all the way up until the end of his earthly life.

I have noticed that everything we do on earth is symbolic of what we
will do in the Celestial kingdom as well as everything we do in the
mission field prepares us for our actual earth life. It's like a life
within a life within a life that lasts forever! I call it...
"LIFE-CEPTION". For example: missionary work! We do it during a
mission, and after a mission, and after our earth life... FOREVER!!
Another example: if we do not steal as a child, we will not steal as
an elder/sister or as a parent, then we will not steal in the heavens.
Think and apply to all different scenarios and use your Gospel
imagination ;)

Mom and Fam: doesn't sound like much is new, just settling down for
winter. October looks beautiful from the view from conference! If at
all possible I'd love a family photo... Just something simple but
something I can see all of you at the stage of your life you are now
in. :) is there an update on politics, news or sports or something
that might be interesting? People always ask me if I will vote for the
president and they try to bash me and the church with saying both
candidates are idiots and God wouldn't allow America to sink like it
will when the president gets elected. Anyway, life is good and the
mission is excellent!

Love,

Elder Nichols
