Fantastic Week in Stockport!

Dear Family & Friends,

It's been a fantastic week here in Stockport England! Being with Elder
Anderson is quite the ride! I love him a lot and we work hard all day
every day. Every single night we are just so tired that it feels like
15 min of sleep when we wake up. Yet missionary work is the greatest
thing.

We have an investigator who has a beard that might be a foot long. How
we found him was that we were Tracting and he answered the door. We
spoke with him and then he invited us back. We have been able to teach
him the Restoration and the Plan of Salvation and he loves it. We are
just wait ion for him to receive an answer from Heavenly Father that
the Book of Mormon is true.

We had our last interviews with President Ulrich as he goes home at
the end of this month. His invitation was for me to memorize my entire
Patriarchal Blessing! It's a big challenge but it's easier then you'd
expect, and it is powerful. I have learned much more about myself and
about my blessing then I could ever imagine. It brought to my
attention that repentance is having a fresh view of God, ourselves and
the world. To see it as God would see it. Repentance is so strong and
it was made possible in and through our beloved Saviour Jesus Christ.

Having a testimony of Jesus Christ is is the Saviour of the world and
he lives. I know through experience that it is true. I testify that as
you read the Book of Mormon daily, you will gain a witness and/or a
stronger testimony of its truthfulness by the power of the Holy Ghost.
The Plan of Salvation can answer every question that pertains to life
itself. We are all children of God and he loves us enough to restore
all of this truth to us in this last Dispensation in the name of Jesus
Christ, amen.

Mom & Fam: love you all! It sounds like a plan with the condo in
October! Have fun for now! Wow it's crazy how quickly my time is
coming to an end as a missionary! Thank you mother for all of your
prayers, I have felt them as I have seen a burst in the work, my life
and as I have been even safer, so thank you. Dad, I have to say,
your last few months sounded brutal and then fun, mine are the
greatest of my mission as of right now! It's the happiest I've ever
been in life! Have a great week in the sun as I will be walking under
my happy humble little umbrella everywhere I go!

Love,
Elder Nichols

Crazy Week!

Dear Fam & Friends,

Well it's been a crazy week full of excitement, lots of bomb and
different types of threats. The bomb in Manchester, the attack in
London, and lots of other threats. We have seen the police everywhere.
We believe that it is due to the elections coming up soon. Do not take
any worries, as we are safe and aware of our surroundings. Lots of
prayers need to be said in this scary time, but whatever happens,
Heavenly Father knows.

Elder Anderson is from Washington State but his family now lives in
bountiful Utah. So we speak about the different types of places
(Muller Park). I have missed tennis so much!

President Ulrich has his last month in the mission and he has been
preparing the England Manchester Mission for the next president. It is
crazy! We are working harder then ever before. We have found 20+ new
investigators these past 5 days so the Lord has blessed us with an
ample amount of success and our goal for this month is 2 baptisms and
so far we have some good promising investigators!

Sorry for the rushed email, time is short and duty calls!

Mom & Fam: thank you for setting up my university stuff! I appreciate
it! Time is flying by and I can't wait to see all of you. Keep up the
high spirit and massive smiles!

Love,

Staying in Stockport

Family & Friends,

Another round of transfers are coming up and I am staying again in Stockport. I will be getting another companion due to elder Atkinson going home. He has served well and fought he good fight.

I am going to be with a missionary named Elder Anderson who goes home after this next transfer! I honestly didn’t think that I was going to be serving with another missionary that is going home, yet I am so blessed to be with such amazing missionaries. I thank you and the Lord for being with Elder Ellis, Elder Atkinson, and now Elder Andersen. We will work harder than ever, each transfer gets stronger and stronger, working harder and harder till there is nothing left. I am willing to give Heavenly Father my all for he has given me everything I have and hold most dear to my heart.

We are working wit a lot of good people! We are seeing a more humbled people since the attack in Manchester. They have had moments of silence and loads of questions have been asked about if God existed then why would he allow these things to happen. Good thing we have the Plan of Salvation, which answers all the questions pertaining to life.

As president was with elder Atkinson in his departing interview, I spoke with sister Ulrich about the mission. She asked me about the question of what has changed most in the time I have spent in the mission. I paused and waited for the spirit to help me answer then I responded by explaining my view and testimony on the Atonement and the role of Jesus Christ. I am grateful for his sacrifice. No matter what we do, if being sincere we can be forgiven and be accepted into Heavenly Fathers Kingdom. I know that God lives and that Christ lives. I know that we are children of a Loving Eternal Father. I know that by following his leaders, we cannot and will not go astray. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Love,
Elder Nichols

What a Week!

Family & Friends

What a week! First off as Elder Atkinson has his last two weeks on his
mission we had an experience of a lifetime! We went with president
Ulrich to a Man City football game! It was beyond fun, it was every
English missionaries dream come true! It was a very fun, hopefully
President Ulrich will send you pictures.

This week has been a crazy week. We have used up a lot of our miles on
the car so we walked all day every day for a week, trying to avoid
busses as well. Our feet hurt and our backs sore but a sense of
Fulfillment in the Lords work has come over my companion and me. We
have seen a lot of great people and lots of investigators are
attempting to come to know the truth.

We are working hard and we are going to make the best of this week for
Elder Atkinson! Hope all of you make this week a special one. Do not
forget to read the Book of Mormon every single day! Find the time for
5-10 min to reflect on your own spirituality and how much the Saviour
means to you. Love you all!!

Time is not on my side anymore!

Dear Family & Friends

Time is not on my side anymore. I first apologize for the lack of responses and emails, but being a servant of God does not give you much time to think haha.

We had a few miracles this past week. We were Tracting a posh (rich) area and I feared man more than God, but my companion said, "No, the Lord has led us here, let's find out why". Well as we tracted we found two new investigators! A few days later we went back to the area, and one of the two investigators dropped us and yet the other didn't answer the door, but her 22 year old daughter answered the door and the first thing that came out of her mouth as she answered the door was, "Oh, it's the cute Mormon boys"... I looked at my companion, my companion looked at me and with an awkward hello we both stumbled and said almost simultaneously just like a robot, "hello, we are the missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints". When we left we looked at each other and said, "Well she is a new investigator" haha she is our most solid investigator at the moment haha!!

Well thank you all for your emails! I felt loved as I read about all that is happening with your lives! And that is a very sincere thank you.

Mom & Fam: Congrats Kaitlyn!! Graduation, that so Exciting!! You all look so good in the pictures you sent! Well it's about 3 months before I'm home so it still is a very long time and that makes me so happy haha! It sounds like Elder Nichols jr. has already had some great miraculous experiences so way to be brother! Good on you! Mom, Elder Atkinson told me that you are going to go to a lunch with his mom and a former missionary! That's exciting! Well I love you all! If you want to send over anything you can but I think I'm okay :) thank you all for being there for me! I feel your love daily!

Love,

Elder Nichols
