A Storm named Doris!

Dear Family & Friends,

On the day that a storm named Doris hit the small town of Shrewsbury,
my companion and I were out tracting for hours and hours. In the
morning we were set, our day was full with 6+ appointments but as our
day began, all of our appointments fell through so we had all day to
find. Hour after hour we knocked against the hard winds, dark clouds
and heavy rain. Not a single person accepted or even listened to our
message. We began to get weary and a bit disappointed. As the time
went on we reached the last stretch with an hour left from 8-9 pm, we
trudged trough I our wet clothes until we reached the last 5 doors to
knock. Not a single person answered the door. Then the last door
(fourth floor) answered and was excited to see us! She greeted us and
accepted a copy of the Book of Mormon. She would like for us to come
back!! It was the miracle that missionaries pray for! We were uplifted
and now we are starting to teach her!
Elder T. and I had another experience with a referral from 2
years ago but was never contacted due to the fact that it was too far
a distance to reach. We went by and searched for the home, it was in
the middle of nowhere and it was hard to find. As we approached a door
to ask where the house was, we blindly walked up to the exact door
that we needed to knock. They answered the door and were surprised to
see us! They also accepted the message and desire for us to come back
this week!! Yet another miracle that is only heard of in stories!!
Life is well in England, all is by the Hand and Blessings of God! I
bare testimony that God lives and he is a God of real life miracles,
they have not ceased! I testify of the importance of the revelations
namely the Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine & Covenants and the
Pearl of Great Price! They are true and I know that Christ is the
reason for us to live and strive for eternal life, in the name of
Jesus Christ, amen.

Love,

Elder Nichols
